Never thought I'd see that name in connection with tax credits but Travis Kelce's indie movie project, recently shown at Sundance, was apparently partially financed with cash raised by the sale of clean energy tax credits. His co-producer, a green energy entrepreneur, was able to raise money for the project by selling his clean energy tax credits, a monetization of tax credits that was previously impermissible but has now been enabled by the Inflation Reduction Act. So it helped his movie get made. Now if we could only get Travis (or his girlfriend) to endorse project finance with tax credits ("Tax Credits . . . You Belong With Me-ee-ee-ee . . . "), just think of the possibilities.
